Our Mission

Yeshivas Kochav Yitzchok / Torah Institute of Baltimore was established in 1952 starting with only 10 boys in a one-room school house. The School now resides in a 98,000 square foot facility, situated on a beautiful and picturesque 14 acre wooded campus in Owings Mills. Unprecedented growth has pushed enrollment to over 800 making Torah Institute one of the largest day schools in the country.

The school has a long history of delivering educational excellence, producing the next generation of highly motivated men prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the communities in which they settle. What distinguishes our graduates is that they are not only provided with the tools to attain the highest level of Torah scholarship, they are also taught Simchas Hachayim (an abiding admiration for life), Ahavas Habriyos (love of humanity), and to pursue justice and truth with all their hearts and souls. In sum, they are taught to make the world a better place. Our students strive to become better people: to commit to actualizing their potential, to build and uplift others, to connect each generation to timeless values, to be unselfish in their outlook, and compassionate in their deeds.

We welcome you to visit and see first-hand why Torah Institute is so proud to be one of the pillars of strength in Baltimore’s Jewish community.
